1966 Fender Jaguar – Firemist Gold Metallic
We present an all original 1966 Fender Jaguar in its rare and original Firemist Gold Metallic finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
This stunning Jaguar plays beautifully, featuring original frets, grey-bottom pickups, a white pickguard, and pearl dot inlays with neck binding on a veneer rosewood fingerboard. It includes its original tremolo arm and bridge cover.
The guitar showcases extensive finish checking and striking vintage wear — full of character and mojo. The original nitrocellulose lacquer finish has aged beautifully, with natural playwear throughout. Structurally, the instrument remains completely sound, with no cracks, breaks, or repairs.
The maple neck sports a smooth medium “C” profile that gains comfortable shoulder and roundness as you move up the fretboard — a very playable, substantial feel.
Sonically, this Jaguar is alive with resonance. The first strum reveals rich, dynamic tone that translates wonderfully when amplified. The Jaguar’s signature switching system offers a wide tonal palette — from thick, punchy textures to bright, sinewy tones.
It’s 100% original throughout – just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1966.
The electronics and pickups are all original, with no rewinds, no replaced parts, and no broken solder joints. Everything remains untouched and fully intact.
This incredible vintage piece comes in its original Fender hardshell case (pre-logo), with fully functional latches and handle.
