1966 Fender Precision Bass – Sunburst
We present an all original and 100% complete 1966 Fender Precision bass in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
The playability is so excellent, a rare light weight example and it’s extremely resonant. As you can see, it has a lot of good honest/mojo wear from years of playing and recording. The original frets are very good and have plenty of life left. A beautiful dark veneer rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dots.
Overall, it’s in great original shape with nicks plus dings and finish checking. This Precision lives up to its “holy grail” bass status, with solid intonation and a feel that that you want on a bass. Neck is slick and fast- it feels like a pre-CBS in your hands. Outstanding tone and huge dark sounding response.
Pickup and the electronics/wiring remians untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickup. All original and correct.
The case is a Fender No-Logo case ( 1964-65 ) But the case has all the markings inside of the bass floating around, so there is no doubt that this beauty P-Bass has lived in that case forever.
