1966 Fender Precision Bass – Sunburst
We present an all original 1966 Fender Precision Bass in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
This is a rare lightweight example with exceptional playability and outstanding resonance. As visible, it shows honest, well-earned wear from years of playing and recording. The original frets are in great condition with plenty of life left. It features a beautiful dark veneer rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays.
Overall, it’s in excellent original condition, with some nicks, dings, and finish checking. This Precision fully lives up to its “holy grail” reputation, delivering solid intonation and the kind of feel you expect from a top-tier bass. The neck is slick and fast — feels like a pre-CBS in your hands. Tone is superb, with a huge, dark, and powerful response.
it’s 100% original throughout – Just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1966.
The pickup and all electronics remain untouched and intact — no broken solder joints, no rewound pickup. All components are original and correct.
It comes in a Fender No-Logo case (1964–65), which clearly bears the internal marks of this bass, leaving no doubt it has lived in this case since day one.
