Description & Specifications

1966 Fender Princeton Reverb Amp AA764 – Blackface

We present an original 1966 Fender Princeton Reverb Amp AA764 – Blackface. Made in Fullerton, California.

The Blackface Fender Princeton Reverb is one of the crown jewels of mid-’60s combo amps. This classic amp added a tube-driven reverb circuit to the popular Princeton student combo and has been among the most widely used recording amplifiers since its introduction in 1964.

The original speaker sounds perfect and is in excellent health. All transformers are factory original. The amp definitely falls into the “great condition” category in terms of cosmetics. The metal on the chassis and other components still sports its original factory shine with very little patina. The grill cloth is also in great shape, and the tolex is in exceptionally fine condition with no significant wear or tear. The circuit itself is perfect and has been serviced with some new caps, tubes, and resistors to ensure optimal performance. It even comes complete with its original footswitch.

The original tube chart is present, very clean, with crisp corners and a hand-inked serial number.

To keep it as original as possible, you will need a step-down transformer. We have these in stock and they can be purchased through Guitar Hunter.
