Description & Specifications

1967 Fender Coronado II – Lake Placid Blue

We present an all original 1967 Fender Coronado II in its original Lake Placid Blue finish. Made in Fullerton, California.

This guitar is an absolute joy to play and visually stunning. Lake Placid Blue is a highly desirable Fender Custom Color, especially sought after by collectors. Structurally, the guitar is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs. The original finish has aged beautifully, with areas developing a greenish hue over time. There is minor finish checking and just a small spot of play wear near the bridge where the hand rests.

The neck is straight and offers excellent action and responsiveness. It features a bound rosewood fretboard with pearl block inlays, and the frets show minimal wear— plenty of life left in them. The original single-coil pickups deliver a strong, well-balanced tone across the spectrum. This is a truly beautiful, 100% original throughout Coronado II guitar that even includes its original whammy bar and matching serial-numbered hang tag — extremely rare in this condition and especially in this color. Just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1967.

The pickups, electronics, and wiring are completely untouched — no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. Everything is original and correct.

Comes complete with its original Victoria hardshell case. All latches and the handle are fully functional.
