1972 Fender Telecaster Bass – Blond
We present an all original 1972 Fender Telecaster Bass in its original Blond finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
This Fender bass model is the second version of the Telecaster Bass, introduced toward the end of 1971, and more closely resembles the Telecaster Custom that would take the world by storm the following year. These basses feature a 3-bolt neck, a humbucking pickup, and were offered with a choice of maple or rosewood fretboards.
This late 1972 Fender Telecaster Bass comes directly from its original owner in Belgium. It’s completely original, with no modifications or repairs. It features a one-piece maple neck with excellent original frets and nut. The ash body retains its original Blond finish, showcasing the beautiful grain of the wood.
Overall, it is in very good condition, with some nicks, dings, and other cosmetic play wear. There is a small crack in the pickguard near the pickup. The original Wide Range humbucker in the neck position delivers a deep and warm tone while maintaining clarity. It offers great tonal range when adjusting the tone and volume controls.
It’s 100% original throughout – Just as it left the Fullerton factory back in 1972.
The pickup and all electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no re-wound pickup. All components are original and correct.
Comes complete with its original hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
