1956 Fender Princeton Amp Tweed 5F2 – Narrow Panel
We present an original 1956 Fender Princeton Amp Tweed 5F2 – Narrow Panel. Made in Fullerton, California.
Condition
This Princeton amplifier is the large cabinet version, offering increased headroom. It’s in overall excellent condition with minimal cosmetic wear around the tweed covering. The original oxblood grillcloth is in pretty clean condition although there is a small hole in the middle. The original chrome control plate is in fantastic shape with all the lettering fully visible and intact along with the stock ‘chicken-head’ knobs. The Princeton has been well maintained over the decades and retains its original Oxford 8″ speaker. The original tube chart is also present — very clean, with crisp corners and a hand-inked serial number.
Originality
This fantastic Tweed Princeton features the original 5F2 circuit, which has been serviced with new capacitors and resistors, ensuring optimal performance. All channels function perfectly and deliver incredible tone.The amp is fully serviced and ready to play. The original leather handle broke some time ago and was therefore replaced with a reproduction. The ON/OFF switch has also been replaced.
To keep it as original as possible, you’ll need a step-down transformer if you’re based in Europe. We have these in stock and they can be purchased through Guitar Hunter.
