1956 Fender Pro Amp Tweed 5E5-B – Narrow Panel
We present an original 1956 Fender Pro amplifier tweed 5E5-B. Made in Fullerton, California.
This 1956 example “Pro-Amp” is one of the most powerful amplifiers of the mid 50’s. The tone is deep and lush tone is unlike any other amp from this period, and shades into a massive roar when pushed into overdrive. Overall, this Fender amplifier is graded to excellent condition. Stock with its original 15″ Jensen speaker that has been reconed.
This one was wired up by Lupe in March 1956. Her masking tape tag is still intact and the tube chart stamp is clean as well. Cosmetically, the original lacquered tweed is in super clean shape. The tweed looks particularly clean condition, with original nailed in feet and even the original leather handle.
The chrome control plate is clean and the graphics are perfect intact. Both transformers are original as well. This Fender Pro amplifier has been serviced with some new capacitors and resistors so it can run perfectly. Overall, just are perfect clean circuit with vintage big-bottle NOS tubes with 1956 date codes. Newer 2 prong power cable installed.
To keep it as original as possible you need a stepdown transformer. We have these in stock and can be purchased through Guitar Hunter: Toroidy Step-Down Transformer 230V/110V – 200VA
