We present an original 1956 Fender Champ tweed 5F1 – Narrow Panel in excellent condition. Made in Fullerton, California.
This vintage Champ boasts its original lacquered tweed and hallowed 5F1 circuit. It doesn’t get much more pure than the Champ, and this studio favorite delivers freakishly dynamic and glassy pure tube tone that can go from clean to fully saturated overdrive with a twist of the single knob.
Overall, the Champ has been well cared for over the decades and is stocked with the original and rare Oxford 6″ speaker and circuit has just been serviced with some capacitors and resistors so it can run perfectly. The preamp retains the original yellow Astron tone capacitors. Both transformers are original, and the chassis itself boasts an extremely clean chrome faceplate with all of the original white silkscreen lettering.
Cosmetically, the original lacquered tweed is in very great shape. Overall the tweed looks particularly great and uniformly aged, with original nailed in feet and even the original leather handle.
The original tube chart is present as well and very clean with crisp corners and hand inked serial number. The amp is full serviced and ready to be played.
To keep it as original as possible you need a stepdown transformer. We have these in stock and can be purchased through Guitar Hunter. https://guitarhunter.dk/product/toroidy-ats300va-stepdown-converter-230-110v/
