1956 Fender Champ Tweed 5F1 – Narrow Panel
We present an original 1956 Fender Champ Tweed 5F1 – Narrow Panel. Made in Fullerton, California.
This vintage Fender Champ features its original lacquered tweed covering and the legendary 5F1 circuit. Few amps are as pure as the Champ, and this studio favorite delivers exceptionally dynamic and glassy tube tone that transitions seamlessly from clean to fully saturated overdrive with just a twist of its single knob.
Overall, this Champ has been very well maintained over the decades. It retains the original and rare Oxford 6″ speaker, and the circuit has just been serviced with select capacitors and resistors to ensure flawless operation. The preamp retains its original yellow Astron tone capacitors. Both transformers are original, and the chassis features an extremely clean chrome faceplate with all original white silkscreen lettering intact.
Cosmetically, the original lacquered tweed is in excellent condition. The tweed shows a uniform, attractive aging, with original nailed-in feet and even the original leather handle still present.
The original tube chart is also included and remains very clean, with sharp corners and a hand-inked serial number. The amp is fully serviced and ready to play.
To maintain originality, a step-down transformer is required. We have these in stock and they can be purchased through Guitar Hunter.
