1956 C.F. Martin D-21 – Natural
We present an original 1956 C.F. Martin D-21 in its original Natural finish. Made in Nazareth, Pennsylvania.
This beautiful 1956 Martin D-21 is truly exceptional. It marks the first year of production for this iconic model. The guitar delivers fantastic tone and playability throughout. It features stunning rosewood back and sides with high-quality quarter-sawn grain. The spruce top reveals signs of extensive play and showcases classic Style 21 appointments. The comfortable, soft V-shaped mahogany neck with pearl dot position markers plays effortlessly. Notable details include a tortoise shell pickguard, tortoise body binding, and black/white trim and rosette.
Overall, the guitar is in excellent condition for its age, with typical cosmetic wear such as nicks, dings, buckle rash on the back, and other signs of honest play. There are no crack repairs on the sides or back — only a single, professionally repaired hairline crack on the top. This vintage C.F. Martin has clearly been well-loved and played, and remains a stunning example of a classic flat top acoustic guitar.
Comes complete with its original and rare hardshell case. All latches and the handle are in perfect working order.
