1957 Fender Stratocaster – Blond
We present an all original and 100% complete 1957 Fender Stratocaster in its original Blond finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
History
This exceptional custom color pre-CBS ’57 Fender Stratocaster is without a doubt a collectors dream that have been in a collection for decades. It is without a doubt the best and cleanest example on the market. This is the first time this guitar is publicly available for sale. It’s backed up with the tag and all the case candy. If you want the best of the best from Fender’s golden age, then this is the one. To come across a package like this is like finding a needle in a haystack.
Condition
Overall this spectacular pre-CBS Strat is in excellent and clean condition with no breaks or any repairs. Just a well-kept piece of Fender history. The original Blond finish on the ash body is absolutely gorgeous and really clean. Not only does it look amazing, it’s truly a fantastic player with an incredible woody and resonant vintage tone. Very minor nicks, dings and other cosmetic wear. The “V” shape maple neck is very beautiful with Birdseye and the fretboard has a few play spots. The headstock and decal is very clean as well.
Originality
This 1957 Fender Stratocaster is 100% all original. Just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1957. Even comes complete with the original tremolo arm and bridge cover, as well as the original cable, strap, polish cloth and 1957 hangtag. It’s all there. The 3x original black bottom single-coil pickups are very strong and balanced. The 6x original Kluson single-line tuners are original and turns smoothly. The tip of the tremolo-arm is made of polystyrene (Bakelite) but the other hardware parts are plastic. It’s common to see a mixture of polystyrene and plastic parts in mid-57 since it was a transition year. An amazing Fender Stratocaster from Fender’s golden age.
Pickups and the electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and 100% correct.
Comes with its original Hardshell Tweed Case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
