We present an all original 1957 Fender Stratocaster in its original Blond finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
History
This exceptional custom color pre-CBS ’57 Fender Stratocaster is without a doubt a collector’s dream, having been part of a private collection for decades. It is unquestionably the best and cleanest example on the market. This is the first time this guitar has been publicly offered for sale. It comes complete with the original tag and all case candy. If you’re looking for the very best from Fender’s golden age, this is the one. Finding a package like this is like finding a needle in a haystack.
Condition
Overall, this spectacular pre-CBS Strat is in excellent and clean condition, with no breaks or repairs—just a beautifully preserved piece of Fender history. The original Blond finish on the ash body is absolutely stunning and remarkably clean. Not only does it look incredible, it plays exceptionally well, delivering a woody and resonant vintage tone. Only minor nicks, dings, and other light cosmetic wear are present. The “V”-shaped maple neck features striking Birdseye figuring, and the fretboard shows only light playwear. The headstock and decal are also very clean.
Originality
This 1957 Fender Stratocaster is 100% original—just as it left the Fullerton factory in 1957. It even comes complete with the original tremolo arm and bridge cover, as well as the original cable, strap, polish cloth, and 1957 hangtag. It’s all there. The three original black-bottom single-coil pickups are strong and well-balanced. The six original Kluson single-line tuners are present and turn smoothly. The tip of the tremolo arm is made of polystyrene (Bakelite), while the other hardware components are plastic—a common combination in mid-1957, as it was a transitional period. An outstanding Stratocaster from Fender’s golden era.
Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickups. All original and 100% correct.
Comes with its original tweed hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
