1958 Fender Precision Bass – Sunburst
We present an all original 1958 Fender Precision Bass in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
This 1958 pre-CBS Fender Precision is one of the most desirable basses from the golden years and comes directly from a collector who acquired it from the original owner. These basses have been sought after since the earliest days of electric instrument collecting. It features the original gold anodized pickguard, a beautiful sunburst finish, split pickup, and fully adjustable 4-saddle bridge.
The one-piece tinted maple neck and headstock are as clean as they come, with gorgeous finish checking. The original frets have plenty of life left. Overall, it’s in clean, original condition with minor nicks, finish checking, and other cosmetic playwear on the back and sides. No breaks or repairs — and we’re confident this is the best example currently for sale.
it’s 100% original throughout – Just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1958. It even comes complete with its original bridge cover, pickup cover, Fender strap, coil cable, matching-number hang tag, and an original instruction manual from the early ’60s. Everything has been preserved by the original owner.
The pickup and electronics/wiring remain untouched and fully intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickup. All original and 100% correct.
Includes its original Fender hardshell tweed case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order
