1958 Fender Precision Bass – Sunburst
We present an all original 1958 Fender Precision Bass in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
This pre-CBS Fender Precision is one of the most desirable basses from the golden era, and it comes directly from the original owner’s son-in-law. These basses have been sought after since the earliest days of electric instrument collecting. It features the original gold anodized pickguard, a beautiful sunburst finish, split pickup, and a fully adjustable 4-saddle bridge. The one-piece maple neck and headstock are exceptionally clean, with gorgeous finish checking. The original frets have plenty of life left. Overall, it’s in great, clean original condition with minor nicks, finish checking, and other cosmetic play wear. Most wear is belt buckle rash on the back. No breaks or repairs.
it’s 100% original throughout – Just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1958. Even comes complete with its original bridge and pickup covers, original flat-wound strings from the ’50s, and the original polish cloth. It’s all there!
The pickup and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact — no broken solder joints, no rewound pickup. All original and correct.
Comes with its original Fender hardshell tweed case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order. The key for the case is also included.
