Description & Specifications

1958 Gibson ES-125 – Sunburst

We present an all original 1958 Gibson ES-125 in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

The ES-125 features an adjustable intonated bridge and a trapeze tailpiece. This model was Gibson’s workhorse electric guitar and is not overly adorned with inlays or ornamentation, which perfectly complements the aged Sunburst finish for a stripped-down, mean look.

It’s a brilliant instrument all around, with bound top and back in cream binding. A great player, it features an amazing original P-90 pickup that sounds healthy and well-balanced. Overall, this hollow body guitar is in excellent condition, with only minor nicks, dings, and typical cosmetic playwear. It has no cracks or breaks.

The neck is straight, with the classic large, round 1958 neck profile — not only comfortable but also excellent for tone and sustain. The ES-125 sports a beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays. The original frets still have plenty of life left.

It’s 100% original throughout – Just as it left the Kalamazoo factory back in 1958.

The pickup and all electronics remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickup. All components are original and correct.

Comes with a newer hardshell case.
