1958 Gibson Les Paul Junior – Sunburst
We present an all original 1958 Gibson Les Paul Junior in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
This Gibson Les Paul Junior comes directly from the family of the original owner. The original sales receipt from the local music store is also included. Later in the ’60s, the original owner purchased a chipboard case for the guitar. So here we have a piece of history in top condition.
Overall, this Gibson Les Paul Junior is in incredibly clean condition, with only a few nicks, dings, and other minor cosmetic playwear. The original Sunburst finish is vibrant, still retaining the red layer that beautifully contrasts with the natural finish on the back. The original frets are like new and in excellent shape, with plenty of life left in them.
This Gibson features a single-cut mahogany body with a one-piece mahogany neck. Gorgeous rosewood fretboard with dot inlays. It has a nice, big neck profile that is a joy to play. The strong P-90 “dog ear” single-coil pickup sounds fantastic. Black single-layer pickguard and aluminum lightweight wrap-over tailpiece look like new. The original Kluson tuners are in perfect working order and turn smoothly.
It’s 100% original throughout – Just as it left the Kalamazoo factory back in 1958.
The pickup and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no re-wound pickup. All original and correct.
Comes with a chipboard case from the ’60s. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
