1959 Fender Jazzmaster – Blond
We present an all original 1959 Fender Jazzmaster in its original Blond finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
This custom color pre-CBS Fender Jazzmaster is 100% original throughout and even comes with its original bridge cover and tremolo arm. It also includes an original ’50s Fender polish cloth and strap. This guitar is featured in the book Fender: The Golden Age.
Cosmetically, the guitar shows some “belt buckle rash” on the back, along with nicks and dings on the front and sides. There are a few areas of notable wear down to the bare ash, as well as various small scratches and marks on the back. The slim neck profile and headstock face remain exceptionally clean. The bridge position offers perfect intonation, despite some experimentation with intonation adjustments.
Acoustically, the guitar has a powerful, authoritative sound that translates beautifully through the two original black bobbin pickups. From sparkling twang in the bridge position to warm, wooly complexity at the neck, this Jazzmaster delivers distinct and usable tones in every position. Resonant, versatile, and full of character—this is everything you’d expect from a guitar built during Fender’s golden age.
The original tweed case is arguably the coolest we’ve ever seen, covered with travel stickers that suggest this Jazzmaster has truly been around the world. This is an extraordinary and rare piece of musical history—a top-tier collector’s item and a phenomenal player.
Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickups. All original and correct.
