Description & Specifications

1959 Fender Musicmaster – Desert Sand

We present an all original 1959 Fender Musicmaster in its original Desert Sand finish. Made in Fullerton, California.

History

This pre-CBS is a stunning example of an early Fender Musicmaster from 1959 – the year Fender introduced rosewood fretboard for the model. Commonly known as Fender’s ‘student model’ guitar due to the 22.5″ (3/4) scale length, this little vintage guitar is a joy to play. It features a slim “A” neck.

Condition

This fantastic Musicmaster is in incredible near-mint condition with minor nicks and dings. The original Desert Sand finish looks stunning and haven’t faded much over the years. It features an alder body with a clean and straight maple neck with a rosewood fretboard. The original frets and nut still have lots of life left in them. The original pickguard is clean and crack-free. The Fender decal and Musicmaster lettering is stunningly clean.

Originality

This ’59 Musicmaster is 100% original throughout – just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1959. It features the six original single-line Kluson tuners, all of which turns smoothly and have intact white tuner buttons. It even comes complete with the original ashtray bridge cover.

Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickups. All original and correct.

Comes with its original Fender hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
