1960 Fender Jazzmaster – Sunburst
We present an original 1960 Fender Jazzmaster in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
This pre-CBS Fender Jazzmaster is all original except for a new nut and newer frets. Otherwise, there are no breaks or repairs. Overall, this Fender Jazzmaster is in very good condition and even comes complete with its original bridge cover, tremolo arm, and matching-number hang tag. Cosmetically, the 1960 Fender Jazzmaster shows play wear on the back of the neck, along with some nicks and dings on the front and sides. The original Sunburst finish is in great shape and has naturally faded over time, including the original pickguard.
The neck profile and headstock face are as clean as they come, with just minor tarnish and wear on the original decal, which is quite common. It features a very nice C-shaped maple neck with a dark rosewood fingerboard and clay dot inlays. The original one-line Kluson tuners work perfectly and turn smoothly. The original black-bottom pickups are well-balanced, strong, and sound incredibly good.
The sound is powerful, resonant, and extremely versatile—everything you’d expect from a guitar produced during Fender’s golden age.
The pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes complete with its original Fender Brown hardshell case with yellow interior. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
