1960 Fender Vibrolux Amplifier Tweed 5F11 – Narrow Panel
We present an original 1960 Fender Vibrolux amplifier tweed 5F11 – Narrow Panel. Made in Fullerton, California.
The circuit is in excellent condition, with only a few high-quality filter capacitors and resistors replaced. This amp delivers the classic tweed tone with incredible dynamics, harmonic richness, and tonal clarity. It remains clean with just the right amount of overdrive and offers a tight bass response, especially with the original Jensen P10R 10″ speaker. The tremolo is bias-based, meaning it modulates the tubes on and off at a rate and intensity set by the controls. It features a strong pulse and a smooth waveform with a satisfying amount of intensity and chop.
The chassis is clean, including the chrome control plate. The original white lettering is intact, along with the stock chicken head knobs. The stock metal handle ends are present, accompanied by a newer handle. The original gray two-prong power cord is still attached to the amp. Both transformers are original to the amplifier.
The original alnico Jensen P10R speaker is intact, with a clean green/blue frame, original bell cover, and clean Jensen label. The original lacquered tweed covering is intact, showing light ambering and minor scuffs and wear, mainly on the lower left corner of the enclosure and the bottom of the amp.
The original tube chart is also present and very clean, featuring crisp corners and a hand-inked serial number.
To keep it as original as possible you need a stepdown transformer. We have these in stock and can be purchased through Guitar Hunter.
