1960 Gibson ES-175D – Blonde
This is an original and early 1960 Gibson ES-175D in Blonde (Natural). Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
This piece is in incredible condition, and we have graded it as near mint. We are very fortunate to offer this guitar at Guitar Hunter. Extremely rare to find in this condition — especially in the Blonde finish. Only 111–116 pieces were made in 1960. This is an early 1960 model with all the 1959 appointments.
It even comes complete with its original matching-number hang tags. Two great-sounding PAF pickups are perfectly balanced for this guitar. The instrument features a beautiful one-piece mahogany 1959 neck with a dark rosewood fingerboard and split parallelogram inlays. The maple hollow body is in gorgeous shape, with a figured top and back.
At some point, the original neck pickup cover was removed, which is quite common (people sometimes did that back then). Otherwise, the pickups and the electronics/wiring are untouched and intact — no broken solder joints, no rewound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes complete with its original hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
Professionally set up in our workshop here at Guitar Hunter.
