Description & Specifications

1960 Gibson Les Paul Junior DC – Cherry

We present an all original 1960 Gibson Les Paul Junior DC in Cherry finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

This 1960 Gibson Les Paul Junior DC comes directly from the son of the original owner and was purchased back in 1961. This vintage Gibson guitar is in super clean condition with only minor nicks, dings, and other light cosmetic wear. The guitar is an early 1960 model with the ’59 neck profile. It sounds amazing with its original P-90 “soapbar” pickup, which is well balanced. Great lightweight mahogany body with almost no fading — the finish is still a vibrant, bright red.

The original frets have just been dressed, so they play perfectly and still have plenty of life left. The original “2/3 Kluson on the stripe” tuners are still in place and work flawlessly. Medium-sized 1-piece mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard and dot inlays, wraparound aluminum tailpiece, and 2 x black reflector knobs.

It’s 100% original throughout – Just as it left the Kalamazoo factory back in 1960.

The pickup and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no re-wound pickup. All original and correct.

Comes complete with its original alligator chipboard case. The original latches are working, but the handle is missing.
