1960 Gibson Les Paul Junior DC – Cherry
We present an all original and early 1960 Gibson Les Paul Junior DC in Cherry finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
This 1960 Gibson Les Paul Junior DC is an early ’60 model with all 1959 features, including the neck. There is no difference between this one and a 1959 — only the serial number. Overall, this vintage Gibson guitar is in super clean condition, with only minor nicks, dings, and other cosmetic wear. The original Cherry finish is incredibly clean and retains strong color. There is no fading, as it has been stored in its case for many years. It sounds amazing, featuring its original P-90 “soap-bar” pickup, which is well-balanced. Great lightweight mahogany body.
The original frets are perfect, with plenty of life left. The original “2/3 Kluson on the stripe” tuners are still in place and work perfectly. One-piece mahogany ’59 neck profile with rosewood fingerboard and dot inlays. Wrap-around aluminum tailpiece and two black reflector knobs.
It’s 100% original throughout – Just as it left the Kalamazoo factory back in 1960.
The pickup and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickup. All original and correct.
Comes complete with its original alligator chipboard case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
