1961 Fender Champ Amp Tweed 5F1 – Narrow Panel
We present an original 1961 Fender Champ amplifier Tweed 5F1 – Narrow Panel. Made in Fullerton, California.
This vintage Champ boasts its original lacquered tweed and the revered 5F1 circuit. It doesn’t get much purer than the Champ, and this studio favorite delivers incredibly dynamic and glassy pure tube tone that ranges from clean to fully saturated overdrive with just a twist of the single knob.
The Fender Champ has been well cared for over the decades and still features its original Oxford 8″ speaker. The circuit has just been serviced with new capacitors, resistors, and tubes, ensuring it runs perfectly. The preamp retains the original yellow Astron tone capacitors. Both transformers are original, and the chassis features an exceptionally clean chrome faceplate with all the original white silkscreen lettering.
Cosmetically, the original lacquered tweed is in excellent condition. Overall, the tweed presents particularly well with uniform aging, the original nailed-in feet, and even the original leather handle. A step-down transformer has been included to allow it to run on 230 volts, maintaining originality.
Freshly and fully serviced and complete with a full vintage tube set, it is ready to be played.
