1961 Fender Vibrolux Amplifier Tweed 5F11 – Narrow Panel
We present an original 1961 Fender Vibrolux amplifier Tweed 5F11 – Narrow Panel. Made in Fullerton, California.
This vintage Fender Tweed amplifier delivers the classic Tweed tone with incredible dynamics, harmonic richness, and tonal clarity. The Fender Vibrolux stays clean with just the right amount of overdrive and a very tight bass response for an amp with the original Jensen P10R speaker. It even comes with its original footswitch.
The tremolo is bias-based, meaning it turns the tubes on and off at a rate and intensity set by the controls. It has a strong, steady pulse, with a smooth waveform offering a good amount of intensity and chop on tap.
The chassis is clean, as is the chrome control plate. The original white lettering is intact, along with the stock chicken head knobs. The stock metal handle ends are intact, along with its original handle. A new three-prong power cord has been installed.
The original alnico Jensen P10R speaker has been reconed. Some new capacitors and resistors have been installed, so it sounds and runs perfectly. Both transformers are factory stock. The original lacquered Tweed covering and handle are intact, showing light ambering with some minor scuffs and other cosmetic wear. The original oxblood grill cloth is tight.
The original tube chart is also present and very clean, with crisp corners and a hand-inked serial number.
