We present an original and extremely rare 1961 Gibson ES-330 TDC in Cherry with factory Sideways Vibrola. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
This Gibson ES-330 TDC is in excellent condition with minor nicks, dings and other cosmetic wear. It’s all original besides for brand new frets.
This fully hollow body Gibson ES-330 model features factory Sideways Vibrola which is extremely rare on this model. This was a custom order guitar back in 1961, so this is a historical piece. The original Black P-90 pickups are well balanced and sound great. The mahogany neck is a clean with a slim C-shaped profile that gains a bit of depth as you move into the higher registers of the fretboard and has a full 1 11/16″ nut width. Beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard with dots inlay. The Nickel hardware include the ABR-1 Tune-o -Matic are clean and perfect.
The original Kluson Deluxe single line tuners are perfect and these tuners turn smoothly with their original White tuner buttons. The serial number is very clean on the back of the headstock and the “Gibson” logo is inlaid in pearl on the headstock face. The “ES-330 TDC” factory stamp inside the body is clean too. No breaks or any repair, just a perfect crack-free example that’s been lovingly played and well-kept. There has never been installed a strap button.
Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.
