1962 Fender Duo Sonic – Sunburst

We present an all original 1962 Fender Duo Sonic in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Fullerton, California.

Condition

Overall this pre-CBS Duo Sonic is in very good+ condition with some nicks, dings and other cosmetic wear. With a few spots where the lacquer is worn off but no breaks or any repairs. The characteristic more ‘shaded’ Sunburst finish – special of the Duo Sonic model – is in stunning condition and really warm. The maple neck is gorgeous with nice play-wear on the back. The headstock is clean and the decal is in pretty good shape as well. Even comes with the original Duo Sonic manual.

Originality

This ’62 Duo Sonic is 100% all original throughout – just like it left the Fullerton factory back in ’62. It features the 6x original Kluson single-line tuners that turns smoothly and even has the original tuner buttons. The white pickguard is intact without any cracks. The 2x original pickups is well-balanced and sound great.

Pickups and the electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and 100% correct.

Comes with its original Fender hardshell case. 2 original latches and 1 newer.
