1962 Fender Duo-Sonic – Sunburst
We present an all original 1962 Fender Duo-Sonic in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
Condition
Overall, this pre-CBS Duo-Sonic is in very good+ condition, with some nicks, dings, and general cosmetic wear. There are a few areas where the lacquer has worn off, but there are no breaks or repairs. The characteristically more “shaded” Sunburst finish—unique to the Duo-Sonic model—is in stunning condition and has a wonderfully warm appearance. The maple neck shows attractive play wear on the back. The headstock is clean, and the decal is in good shape. It even comes with the original Duo-Sonic manual.
Originality
This ’62 Duo-Sonic is 100% original throughout—just as it left the Fullerton factory in 1962. It features six original Kluson single-line tuners that turn smoothly, still with the original tuner buttons. The white pickguard is fully intact with no cracks. The two original pickups are well-balanced and sound excellent.
The pickups and all electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickups. All original and 100% correct.
Comes with its original Fender hardshell case—two original latches and one newer replacement.
