Description & Specifications

1962 Fender Jazzmaster – Olympic White

We present an all original and 100% complete 1962 Fender Jazzmaster in its original Olympic White finish, made in Fullerton, California.

This rare pre-CBS Fender Jazzmaster is in near-mint condition and even comes complete with the original bridge cover, tremolo arm, and strap. Even more impressively, it includes the original flatwound strings in the case. This Fender Jazzmaster is from the first year of production featuring a matching headstock.

Cosmetically, this guitar is out of this world. Super clean with only a few tiny nicks and scratches. The neck profile and headstock face are as clean as can be. This is an exceptional example of a pre-CBS Jazzmaster in a custom color finish! The fingerboard features a beautifully dark rosewood slab board with clay dots. The frets and nut look like new and have plenty of life left.

The Olympic White finish is like Snow White, and also marks the early production of the Olympic White custom color. In the beginning, Fender didn’t apply a thick clear coat—or any clear coat—on the Olympic White finish, unlike later pre-CBS production. This Fender Jazzmaster is powerful, resonant, and extremely versatile—everything you’d expect from a guitar produced during Fender’s golden age. This guitar is truly amazing, a super rare piece of history, and both a top-tier collector’s item and outstanding player.

It’s 100% original throughout – just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1962.

Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickups. All original and correct.

Comes with its original Fender brown hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
