1962 Gibson Les Paul SG Junior – Cherry

We present an all original 1962 Gibson Les Paul SG Junior in Cherry finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

For your consideration, this is a Gibson Les Paul Junior featuring the SG body shape. This solid mahogany body with bevelled edge, one-piece mahogany neck, and dark rosewood fretboard with 22 jumbo frets and inlaid pearl dot position markers. Overall, this junior is in stunning condition with few nicks, dings and other cosmetic play wear.

This 1962 Gibson guitar has a headstock with gold silk-screened “Gibson” logo and “Les Paul Junior” text. It has “factory second” on the back of the headstock. Kluson Deluxe strip tuners with original white plastic oval buttons. The two-layer (black on white) laminated plastic pickguard with eight screws has shrunken over time. Two controls (one volume, one tone) on lower treble bout. Black plastic bell-shaped knobs with white markings and the original compensated Wrap-Around tailpiece. Overall, this is just a great playing, wonderful sounding guitar in excellent condition. The original frets are in fantastic shape and has a lot of life left. It features the original and truly beautiful cherry finish, that looks absolutely killer.

The pickup and the electronics/wiring remains untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickup. All original and correct.

Comes with an its original chipboard case. Handle is broken. Latches are in perfect working order.
