1963 Fender Precision Bass – Sunburst
We present an all original 1963 Fender Precision Bass in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
The playability of this pre-CBS 1963 Fender Precision Bass is exceptional. A rare lightweight example, it is extremely resonant. It has honest, well-earned wear from years of playing and recording. it’s 100% original throughout – Just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1963.
The original frets are flawless with plenty of life left, including the original nut. It features a beautiful dark veneer rosewood fingerboard with clay dots and a very nice medium D-shaped neck. The maple neck shows some playwear, while the headstock and Fender decal are remarkably clean.
Overall, it’s in excellent original condition with nicks, dings, and other cosmetic wear. One small tip of the pickguard is cracked, but the broken piece is still present. This 1963 Fender Precision Bass fully lives up to its “holy grail” reputation, offering solid intonation and the feel you want from a bass.
The pickup and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact—no broken solder joints, no rewound pickup. All original and 100% correct.
Comes with its original Fender brown hardshell case (one broken latch). The case is still fully functional.
