1963 Fender Stratocaster – Sunburst
We present an all original 1963 Fender Stratocaster in Sunburst finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
This pre-CBS Stratocaster hails from the golden era of Fender production in Fullerton, California. The guitar was purchased 13 years ago from its original owner, Jim Snow, who lived in Henderson, Kentucky. Jim loved and played this guitar for many years. You can see honest playwear all over the body, especially where his arm would rest. It’s an absolutely wonderful Stratocaster with great resonance and tone. The original frets and nut still have life left in them.
The original 1-line Kluson tuners are in excellent condition and function perfectly. Jim (the original owner) had placed mail letters on the guitar; these have been removed, though the marks remain. While they could be removed, we consider them part of the guitar’s history and have left them as is, allowing the next owner to decide. The original pickguard shows the two most common pickguard cracks. It features a beautifully dark rosewood fingerboard with clay dots. The black bottom pickups are healthy, strong, and well-balanced. The guitar is 100% original throughout – just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1963 – and even includes its original tremolo arm and bridge cover. This is truly a stunning instrument with authentic vintage Fender tone. It would complement any high-end collection but absolutely deserves to be played.
Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes complete with its original Fender white tolex hardshell case. One latch is broken, but the case remains fully functional.
