1964 Fender Jaguar – Lake Placid Blue
We present an all original 1964 Fender Jaguar in Lake Placid Blue with a matching headstock. Made in Fullerton, California.
The only part that has been replaced on this beauty is the foam (also known as rubber) on the flip-up mute. This is common, as the original foam shrinks over time and becomes hard and ineffective. This rare custom color is stunning to play and features all of the early characteristics of this model, including black bottom pickups, a mint green pickguard, and clay dots on the veneer rosewood fingerboard. It even comes complete with its original tremolo arm and bridge cover.
There is a remarkable resonance when you strike the first chord, and that dynamic, soulful quality translates beautifully into the amplified signal. The Jaguar offers tonal options that can both thicken the sound and, alternatively, make it more sinewy and bright.
The maple neck has a C-shaped profile that is very slender at the nut, gaining notable shoulder and roundness as you move up the fretboard, with a solid, comfortable feel.
This Jaguar features beautiful nitro lacquer checking, as well as nicks, dings, and other cosmetic wear.
It’s 100% original throughout – just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1964.
The pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and fully intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes with its original Fender non-logo hardshell case. The latches and handle are in perfect working order.
