Description & Specifications

1964 Fender Musicmaster – Translucent Red

We present an all original and 100% complete 1964 Fender Musicmaster in its original Translucent Red finish. Made in Fullerton, California.

This is a very cool short-scale guitar, and these mahogany Musicmasters are among the rarest ever produced. Fender was never a major builder of mahogany guitars. Overall, this Fender Musicmaster is in very good condition, with some nicks, dings, finish checking on the body, and other cosmetic playwear. Everything remains structurally sound with no repairs. The neck is as clean as it gets, including the headstock. The original frets have been dressed, so playability is excellent with low action. The neck is a comfortable maple neck with a dark rosewood fingerboard and clay dots. The original pickguard has some cracks but still functions as it should.

It’s 100% original throughout – just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1964.

The pickup and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickup. All original and correct.

Comes with its original Fender hardshell case.
