1964 Fender Stratocaster – Candy Apple Red
We present an all original 1964 pre-CBS Fender Stratocaster in its original Candy Apple Red finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
This is a prime example of why these early pre-CBS Fenders are so highly sought after. A stunning Custom Color guitar that is very close to near mint. An exceptionally clean Fender Stratocaster with only minor cosmetic wear on the side. Featuring a pristine and gorgeous maple neck with a medium C-shaped profile and a beautifully dark rosewood fretboard with clay dot inlays. The headstock showcases some of the most strikingly grained maple, giving this guitar a truly unique appearance.
The green pickguard is flawless, with no cracks or breaks. The original frets and nut are like new, with plenty of life left. The grey-bottom pickups are strong and well-balanced—warm and clear, with a vibrant tone that is both woody and glassy, offering perfect balance across the set.
Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact—no broken solder joints, no rewound pickups. All original and correct.
It’s 100% original throughout – just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1964.
Includes its original Fender non-logo hardshell case, tremolo bar, ashtray, coil cable, strap, and polish cloth. It’s all there!
