Description & Specifications

1964 Fender Stratocaster – Fiesta Red

We present an all original 1964 Fender Stratocaster in Fiesta Red finish. Made in Fullerton, California.

This rare pre-CBS Stratocaster is a true work of art and features one of the most sought-after custom colors available. Few pre-CBS instruments are considered the high watermark of Stratocaster tone from the 1960s, and this is certainly one of them.

Overall, this example is in excellent+ condition, with only extremely minor nicks, dings, and other cosmetic playwear. The Fiesta Red finish is stunning and unfaded, showing just the slightest hint of checking and some minor case rash that has slightly disturbed the paint. It has been a treasured possession over the years, stored in its original case. This beauty will enhance any high-end collection — but it definitely deserves to be played. The original frets and nut still have plenty of life left. The neck has a very comfortable C-shape, featuring a beautifully dark rosewood fingerboard with clay dot inlays.

The original one-line Kluson tuners are intact and work perfectly. The black-bottom pickups are very well balanced and sound incredible, with nice low action on the strings. The headstock with spaghetti logo and the neck are as clean as they come, with only minor signs of wear. The hardware has only slightly tarnished, clearly showing the great care taken to clean and maintain this guitar. The plastics show only minimal signs of age, with the pickguard displaying slight shrinkage and minor discoloration on the pickup covers.

The pickups and all electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickups. All original and correct.

It’s 100% original throughout – just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1964.

It even comes with its original non-logo hardshell case, bridge cover, tremolo arm, Fender cable, and guitar strap.
