Description & Specifications

1964 Fender Stratocaster – Sunburst

We present an all original and 100% complete 1964 Fender Stratocaster in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Fullerton, California.

Condition

This ’64 pre-CBS Fender Stratocaster is remarkably clean with a resonant body and neck. This Fender Stratocaster is without a doubt a collector’s dream and has been part of a collection for decades. It is without a doubt the best and cleanest ’64 example on the market. This is the first time this guitar is publicly available for sale.

It’s in near mint condition and looks like it left the Fullerton factory yesterday. It features a beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard with clay dots and one-line Kluson tuners, which are in perfect working order and very clean. The 3-tone Sunburst finish looks gorgeous and strong. The headstock is as clean as it gets, including the “transition logo.” The back of the neck is clean and looks as new as the rest of the guitar. Overall, just a stunning pre-CBS Stratocaster that is amazing all the way through.

Originality

This incredible ’64 Fender Stratocaster is 100% original throughout – just like it left the Fullerton factory back in late 1964. It even comes with the original bridge cover, tremolo arm, polish cloth, and strap. The weight is fantastic, and the grey-bottom pickups are well-balanced with great tone and soul.

Pickups and the electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.

Complete with its original Fender black tolex hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
