1965 Fender Jaguar – Black
We present an all original 1965 Fender Jaguar in its rare and original Black finish, made in Fullerton, California.
This Fender Jaguar in custom color Black is in exceptional condition for its age. It features a maple neck with a bound dark rosewood fingerboard and pearl dot inlays, shaped with a comfortable C-profile. It still retains several desirable pre-CBS features, including single-line Kluson tuners.
Overall, this vintage Jaguar is in excellent condition, with only minor nicks, dings, and light cosmetic wear from play. It even includes the original tremolo arm and the original Fender Bodyguard. Everything is intact and original!
The 1965 Fender Jaguar delivers remarkable resonance from the moment you strike your first chord. Its dynamic, soulful tone truly comes alive when amplified. The Jaguar is known for its tonal versatility — capable of producing both rich, thick textures and bright, sinewy highs. The iconic “strangle” switch (located on the hexagonal plate beside the pickup selector switches) boosts treble frequencies for a snappy, cutting sound. Meanwhile, the rhythm circuit, dedicated to the neck pickup, activates a darker tone cap for a fuller, warmer clean tone with clarity and depth.
It’s 100% original throughout – just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1965.
All pickups and electronics are untouched and 100% original—no broken solder joints, no rewound pickups, and no modifications. Everything is correct and vintage-authentic.
Includes the original Fender hardshell case, with all latches and the handle in perfect working condition.
