Description & Specifications

1965 Fender Jaguar – Black

We present an all original 1965 Fender Jaguar in its rare Black custom color finish with matching headstock. Made in Fullerton, California.

This exceptional Custom Color Jaguar is in near mint condition and features pearloid dot inlays on a dark rosewood fingerboard. It comes complete with its original tremolo arm and bridge cover. This “killer” Jaguar also has a fantastic story— rented and featured in The Golden Age of the Fender Jaguar, one of the most iconic Fender reference books. Aside from that, it has been safely stored in its original hardshell case for the past 30 years.

The guitar is incredibly resonant. From the first strum, it delivers a dynamic and soulful tone that truly shines when amplified. The Jaguar’s unique circuitry allows for a wide tonal palette — from thick, rich textures to the signature bright, sinewy sound that defines this model.

The maple neck features a comfortable C-shaped profile — slim at the nut and developing a substantial, rounded feel as you move up the neck. The frets are virtually untouched, offering plenty of life and excellent playability.

It’s 100% original throughout – just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1965.

All electronics and pickups are completely original, with untouched solder joints and no rewinds—just as it left the factory.

Includes the original black tolex Fender hardshell case, with fully functional latches and handle.
