Description & Specifications
1965 Fender Jazzmaster – Sunburst
We present an original 1965 Fender Jazzmaster in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
Condition
This L-series Fender Jazzmaster is in pristine, near-mint condition, showing only the most minimal cosmetic wear. It features an exceptional Birdseye maple neck, which is an absolute joy to play, paired with a clean, dark rosewood fingerboard. The original Sunburst finish remains vibrant and has barely faded over time. The burst pattern is very similar to what you typically find on a 1964 Jazzmaster.
Originality
This early 1965 Fender Jazzmaster is 100% original throughout except for a professional refret. Otherwise just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1965, It comes with its original tremolo arm. The double-line Kluson tuners are fully functional and in excellent condition. The two original grey-bottom pickups are strong, articulate, and well-balanced. It features pearl dot inlays. Being an early ’65 model, it still retains the Pre-CBS white knobs—just before Fender transitioned to the “Witch Hat” style. There is virtually no difference between a late 1964 and this early 1965 Jazzmaster. Included is a vintage 1960s Fender Jazzmaster manual.
The pickups, electronics, and wiring are untouched and entirely intact—no broken solder joints, no rewound pickups. All original and 100% correct.
Comes complete with its original non-logo Fender hardshell case. All latches and the handle are in perfect working condition.
