1965 Fender Princeton Reverb Amp – Blackface
We present an original 1965 Fender Princeton Reverb Amp – Blackface. Made in Fullerton, California.
The Blackface Fender Princeton Reverb is one of the crown jewels of mid-’60s combo amps. This classic amplifier added a tube-driven reverb circuit to the popular Princeton student combo and has been one of the most widely used recording amps since its introduction in 1964. The original speaker has been reconed, so it’s now in perfect and healthy condition. All transformers are factory original.
The amp is definitely in the “great condition” category regarding cosmetics. The metal on the chassis and elsewhere still sports its original factory shine with very little patina. The grill cloth is also in excellent shape, and the tolex is in exceptionally fine condition with no significant wear or tear. The circuit itself is flawless and has been serviced with new capacitors, tubes, and resistors to ensure perfect performance.
The original tube chart is present, very clean, with crisp corners and a hand-inked serial number. It even comes complete with its original Fender cover.
To keep it as original as possible, you’ll need a step-down transformer. We have these in stock and they can be purchased through Guitar Hunter.
