Description & Specifications

1965 Gibson Melody Maker – Cardinal Red

We present an all original 1965 Gibson Melody Maker in its original Cardinal Red finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

This clean 1965 Melody Maker features the desirable wider 1 11/16″ nut width and a Maestro tremolo. Double cutaway mahogany body, one-piece mahogany neck with a dark rosewood fingerboard. A cool vintage electric guitar, praised by players, teachers, and students alike for its rich sound, powerful tone, responsive pickup, and feather-light touch.

The guitar is in great condition, showing only minor dings, scratches, and other cosmetic playwear. A superb solid body electric guitar with a full-sized neck and standard scale length. It features one great-sounding single-coil pickup and a classic “Maestro” tremolo tailpiece.

It’s 100% original throughout – Just like it left the Kalamazoo factory back in 1965.

The pickup and electronics are completely original and untouched, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickup. All components are original and correct.

Includes a newer hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
