Description & Specifications

1965 Gibson SG Junior – Polaris White

We present an original 1965 Gibson SG Junior in its rare and original Polaris White finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

This Gibson SG Junior is an early 1965 model with a 1-11/16″ nut width. It is all original except for a professional refret. Otherwise it’s exactly like it left the Kalamazoo factory back in 1965. The guitar features a beautifully dark rosewood fretboard with pearloid dot inlays. Equipped with 2 x “3-on-a-strip” Kluson tuners, which turn smoothly and work perfectly. Overall, this Gibson SG Junior is in great condition, showing some nicks, dings, and cosmetic playwear consistent with age. To keep it factory stock, the original nut has been repaired rather than replaced.

The original Gibson P-90 pickup sounds incredible — powerful, dynamic, and full of character. There is remarkable resonance in the one-piece, lightweight mahogany body. Acoustically, it’s incredibly lively and clear. This SG Junior absolutely roars and delivers everything from glassy, articulate cleans to growling, heavy overdrive. The one-piece neck with its 1-11/16″ nut width is a joy to play.

The pickup and all electronics/wiring remain untouched and fully intact — no broken solder joints, no rewound pickup. Everything is 100% original and correct.

Comes with a newer 1970s hardshell case.
