1966 Fender Jaguar – Sonic Blue
We present an all original 1966 Fender Jaguar in its original Sonic Blue finish with matching headstock. Made in Fullerton, California.
Condition
This rare 1966 Custom Color Fender Jaguar is in excellent vintage condition. It shows typical nicks, dings, and cosmetic playwear consistent with age. Beautiful finish checking is visible across the body and neck. There are a few areas where the finish has worn down to the bare wood. Over time, the original Sonic Blue finish has aged into a unique greenish hue that looks absolutely stunning.
It features a bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays and a straight maple neck. The original set of 6x “F” tuners are fully functional and turn smoothly. Both the original frets and nut still have plenty of life remaining. Fresh foam has been added to the flip-up mute to ensure full functionality. Tonally, the guitar resonates beautifully; from the very first chord, it delivers rich, dynamic, and soulful tones that translate remarkably through an amplifier.
Originality
This outstanding and rare CBS-era Fender Jaguar is 100% original throughout, with no modifications, breaks, or repairs. It’s just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1966. It still includes its original tremolo arm and bridge cover. The original pair of single-coil pickups are perfectly balanced and untouched, with all solder joints completely intact.
The pickups and electronics remain unmodified—no broken solder joints, no rewound pickups. All components are original and correct. No breaks, no repairs!
Includes the original Fender Bulwin hardshell case. The handle has been professionally replaced.
