Description & Specifications
1966 Fender Mustang – Blue
We present an all original 1966 Fender Mustang in its original Blue finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
Condition
This is a clean and well-preserved example of a vintage Mustang, showing only minimal signs of wear such as a few light nicks and dings. It features beautiful finish checking on both the front and back of the headstock. The original Blue finish remains vibrant and strong in the color. There’s a few green fading spots on the body. The maple neck is remarkably clean, while the dark rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays adds a striking contrast. The original ‘Fender’ and ‘Mustang’ decals are intact and crisp. Chrome hardware is still shiny and shows little to no oxidation. The original nut and frets are in great shape with plenty of life left.
Originality
This guitar is 100% original throughout with no modifications, repairs, or structural issues — just as it left the Fullerton factory in 1966. It features two original grey-bottom single-coil pickups that are well-balanced and deliver the classic, articulate tone expected from a vintage ’66 Mustang. The original Fender tuners turn smoothly, and the white tuner buttons remain intact. The original tremolo arm is also included. The white pearloid pickguard is clean and fully intact.
All electronics and wiring are untouched and original, with no broken solder joints or rewound pickups—completely unmodified and correct.
Includes its original hardshell case, with all latches and the handle in perfect working condition.
