1966 Fender Precision Bass – Sunburst
We present an all original and 100% complete 1966 Fender Precision bass in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
History
This 1966 Fender Precision bass came directly from the family of the original owner in Denmark back in 2023. The original owner purchased this Fender bass brand new back in 60’s. Well loved and played throughout the years, but at the same time well-kept without any modifications at all. The playability is so excellent on this Fender Precision bass. A great light weight example that is extremely resonant.
Condition
Overall this lovely vintage P-bass is in very good+ condition with nicks, dings and other cosmetic wear. The original frets are very good and have plenty of life left. A beautiful dark veneer rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dots. Neck is slick and fast- it feels like a pre-CBS in your hands. Outstanding tone and huge dark sounding response.
Originality
This ’66 Precision Bass is 100% all original throughout, just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1966. The original pickup sounds fantastic and is healthy. 4x original tuners turns smoothly.
Pickup and the electronics/wiring remians untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickup. All original and correct.
Comes complete with its original Hagström export hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
