We present an all original 1966 Fender Precision Bass in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Fullerton, California.

History

This 1966 Fender Precision Bass came directly from the family of the original owner in Denmark in 2023. The original owner purchased the bass brand new in the 1960s. Well-loved and played over the years, yet carefully preserved without any modifications. The playability of this Precision Bass is exceptional. A lightweight and extremely resonant example.

Condition

Overall, this lovely vintage P-Bass is in very good+ condition, with nicks, dings, and other cosmetic wear. The original frets are in great shape with plenty of life left. It features a beautiful dark veneer rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dots. The neck is slick and fast — it feels like a pre-CBS model in your hands. Outstanding tone with a huge, dark-sounding response.

Originality

This ’66 Precision Bass is 100% original throughout, just as it left the Fullerton factory in 1966. The original pickup sounds fantastic and is fully functional. All four original tuners turn smoothly.

The pickup and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickup. All original and correct.

Comes complete with its original Hagström export hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
