1966 Fender Precision Bass – Sunburst
We present an all original 1966 Fender Precision Bass in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
Condition
This is an exceptional clean and pristine Fender Precision bass from 1966. There’s extremely minimal nicks, dings and other cosmetic wear. The original 3-tone sunburst is breathtaking and has barely faded at all – A really strong and typical ’66 Sunburst. Underneath is an alder body with a nice weight to it. The maple neck is super clean and features a nice dark veneer rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dots.
Originality
This Fender bass is 100% all original and untouched, with no modifications, breaks or any repairs. Just like it left the Fullerton factory back in ’66. The original tuners turns smoothly. The original 3-ply tortoiseshell pickguard is fully intact and stunningly clean. The two chrome covers are shiny and really makes this bass look incredible. Neck is nice and fast- it feels like a pre-CBS in your hands. Outstanding tone and huge dark sounding response. It even comes with the original matching number hang tag. What a time capsule!
Pickup and electronics/wiring remains untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickup. All original and correct.
Comes with its original Hardshell Case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
