1966 Fender Telecaster – Sunburst
We present an all original 1966 Fender Telecaster in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
This Fender Telecaster is rare, as the Sunburst finish was considered a custom color during that era. The standard finish for a Telecaster at the time was Blond, making this guitar a custom-ordered example.
It features a slim, fast-playing maple neck with a dark rosewood fingerboard, and retains its original wide frets, which still have plenty of life left. Tonally, it delivers that unmistakable ’60s Telecaster twang – rich, bright, and incredibly expressive.
The guitar is in excellent vintage condition, with some minor nicks, dings, light belt buckle wear, and beautiful finish checking — all typical cosmetic wear consistent with age. Structurally, it’s completely sound, with no cracks, breaks, or repairs. The original Sunburst finish has naturally faded over the decades, adding to its vintage character.
It’s 100% original throughout – just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1966.
Both pickups and original electronics remain untouched and intact—no re-wound pickups, no broken solder joints. All parts are original and correct.
Includes the original Fender tweed hardshell case, with fully functional latches and handle.
