1966 Gibson ES-355 TDC – Cherry
We present an original 1966 Gibson ES-355 TDC in Cherry finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
What makes this ES-355 TDC so unique is the fact that it was Gibson Top-Of-The-Line ES-model. The ES-355 TDC is with Stereo and Varitone. This Gibson ES-355 is all original with the exception of brand new frets and nut that is done by the most respected luthier Åke Westfelt here in Denmark. Overall, it’s in very good condition with typical play-wear, nicks, dings and other cosmetic wear. Volume-sticker is missing on one volume knob. The original gold parts has become aged over the years. The truss rod cover is 100% original – it was random whether it said “Stereo” or not on the cover in this period.
It features beautiful figured double cutaway laminated maple body with binding. Comes with its original “Patent Number sticker ” humbucking pickups that are 100% undisturbed. The pickups sound amazing and are well balanced. The original owner has written his mail lettes on the original pickguard which can bee seen in correct light angle.
The oval orange label is clean and intact with handwritten ES-355 letter. 1-piece mahogany neck profile, bound ebony fingerboard with MOP – block inlays, Gibson Custom headstock w/binding and split-diamond inlay. Original factory Bigsby tailpiece. The original waffleback tuners works and are in perfect working order.
Pickups and the electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes with an old Epiphone hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order. We believe the original owner purchased this guitar with that case. It’s was not uncommon to buy a random case.
