1966 Gibson Trini Lopez Standard – Pelham Blue
We present an all original 1966 Gibson Trini Lopez Standard in its original Pelham Blue finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Overall, this is an incredible Gibson guitar in excellent condition, with minor nicks, dings, and general playwear. This is a very rare Trini Lopez to find in the Gibson custom color Pelham Blue finish. Very few were made in Pelham Blue, as Cherry was the standard color.
The Pelham Blue finish remains vibrant with some fading to a greenish hue and shows some light finish checking. The neck is well adjusted and comfortable to play. It features two original Gibson “Pat. Nr. Sticker” humbuckers that sound fantastic and remain undisturbed.
It features a laminated maple body, a one-piece mahogany neck, and a beautifully dark bound rosewood fingerboard with pearloid inlays. Original trapeze tailpiece with Gibson adjustable Tune-O-Matic bridge and 6x Kluson “double-line” tuners, all in perfect working order.
It’s 100% original throughout – Just like it left the Kalamazoo factory back in 1966.
Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes with a non-original hardshell case. Latches and handle are fully functional.
