1967 Fender Coronado II – Sonic Blue
We present an all original 1967 Fender Coronado II in its original Sonic Blue finish with matching headstock. Made in Fullerton, California.
Condition
It’s definitely not everyday that we come across a custom color Sonic Blue Coronado II guitar with white bindings and matching headstock. Overall, the guitar itself is super clean and remains structurally sound with no cracks or breaks. The beautiful Sonic Blue finish is still blue but have some fading spots where the finish has turned slightly more green. Featuring a bound maple hollow-body with bound f-holes. The maple neck is straight with some minor play-wear and with a beautiful bound rosewood fingerboard with block inlays. The headstock has some finish checking. It features the original frets which still has plenty of life left.
Originality
This extremely rare ’67 Fender Coronado II – Sonic Blue is 100 % original throughout, just like it left the Fullerton factory back in 1967. It even comes with the original whammy bar. The 2x original DeArmond single coil pickups are well-balanced and sounds lovely. The 6x original Fender tuners turns smoothly. The original pickguard and knobs are all intact.
Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes with its original Victoria Luggage Hardshell Case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
