Description & Specifications

1967 Gibson ES-335 TDC – Cherry – Factory Bigsby

We present an all original 1967 Gibson ES-335 TDC in its original Cherry finish with factory Bigsby. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

This guitar is in excellent condition with very few nicks, dings, finish checking, or other cosmetic wear. No cracks, breaks, or repairs. The stock “Patent Number” sticker humbuckers are powerful and articulate. The semi-hollow maple body provides the quick attack characteristic of this tonewood, along with an airy, warm quality.

Acoustically, the tone is authoritative and clear, and this quality translates well through the pickups. The neck has a profile unique to Gibson in that period, beginning as a fairly slender C shape at the nut and quickly growing in both depth and shoulder into a fuller neck.

The bound rosewood fretboard features pearloid block inlays. The original frets are in great shape with plenty of life left. The headstock has minor nicks and dings and features the original Kluson Deluxe double-line/double-ring tuning machines. All turn smoothly and hold pitch as they should. The orange oval Gibson label has clean text and a serial number that matches the stamped serial number on the back of the headstock. The bridge is the original chrome Gibson Tune-o-Matic. Original black hat knobs, as well as the stock pickguard, switch tip, and pickup covers, are all intact.

It’s 100% original throughout – Just like it left the Kalamazoo factory back in 1967.

All pickups and the electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickups. All original and correct.

Comes with its original case with black exterior and plush yellow/orange interior. The original latches are intact, with a newer handle.

Professionally set up in our workshop here at Guitar.
