1967 Martin D-21 – Natural
We present an original 1967 Martin D-21 in its original Natural finish. Made in Nazareth, Pennsylvania.
This model is a rosewood dreadnought guitar that shares many features with the D-18. It features a spruce top paired with stunning rosewood back and sides, along with a rosewood peghead overlay, fingerboard, and bridge. Tortoise binding surrounds the body, complemented by additional purfling strips along the inner top edge. The fretboard includes graduated dot inlays. Overall, it remains in excellent condition for its age, with no breaks or overspray. Some nicks, dings, and cosmetic playwear are present. The top shows notable scratches and wear down to the bare wood near the soundhole and upper shoulder on the treble side — this area has been closed and sealed. The original Grover tuners turn smoothly and function perfectly.
These rare vintage D-21s consistently deliver a snappier tone than their D-28 counterparts from the same era. Known for their crisp attack and clear tonal presence, this guitar is no exception — it offers fast response and rich projection.
Includes a new Martin hardshell case. All latches and the handle are in perfect working order.
